Pistachios

 

I love pistachios. They are delicious! And believe it or not, I like them when they are not pre-shelled. There's just something about cracking open the shell to get to the goodness.

​

If pistachios had feelings, I'm sure they wouldn't enjoy their shells being cracked open. After all, who likes to loose their outer shell.

​

We put "shells" up in our lives so others don't see what's really on the inside. Many times we go to church or other places, put on our smile and pretend all is well.

God sees through the facade and sees the heart. He knows who we are along with our short comings and struggles. And sometimes He "cracks our shell" in order to bring out His goodness in us.

​

Are you partnering with God in letting Him conform you into His image? Are you letting Him work in your life, even if it's painful, to let His light shine?

​

Follow Jesus. Yield to His leading and His growth process in your life.

​

And if you get the chance, grab you a bag of pistachios!
