That's Just Gross

My cat was sick the other night.  He ate a big supper...and then threw it up all over the living room floor.  Now let's pretend I was making peanut butter oatmeal cookies for a party - for you.  Hmm, it's the same color.  Why not scoop up the cat scrapings and add it to the cookie mix for the shindig?  Hey, don't worry, I added more peanut butter to cover up the smell and taste.  You won't mind will you?

 

Many treat Jesus like that.  We think that just a little sin is ok in our lives and we can cover it over with good stuff.  He won't mind right?

 

But He says, "that's gross"!!!  Actual words are that our sacrifices and offerings stink in His sight if our hearts aren't right.  It's just like cat barf cookies.

 

Do you have conviction in your life?  Do you have holiness as a practice?  Is your heart right with Jesus?  What about your thoughts?  Is your social media pleasing to Him?  

 

I'll end with this song.  Take it as God speaking straight to you - and then do something about it.
