Imagine going to a fast food and those behind the counter were busy cleaning, mopping, stocking paper goods, dumping another batch of fries to cook, prepping the next fry bag, etc.  They were doing this all for you.  Thats right, YOU!  Wouldn't you feel loved and special.  But wait, while doing all of this, they totally ignored taking your order.  Puts a different light on it doesn't it?

 

That's what Martha was doing when Jesus entered her house.  She was busy "serving" Jesus while ignoring Him.  Her sis, Mary was at His feet listening to Him.  Jesus said Mary chose the better option.

 

Will you "listen" to Jesus this week?  Will you take time out of your busy schedule, even if it's "serving" Jesus to just be still and listen?

 

Read God's word.  Pray.  Be still and know that He is God!
