Ate Chinese yesterday.  I was too tired to get anything ready myself so thought I'd frequent the Chinese restaurant.  I received the customary fortune cookie at the end.

 

My fortune said, "your dearest desire will come true".  

 

I don't put any stock in fortunes.  However, I can somewhat back up that sentence with a scripture.  Psalm 37:4 tells us that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart.

 

This doesn't mean God is a genie in a bottle ready to grant our every wish.  It means that if we love God, we will have His desires and not ours.  And even when the bad happens, it will work out to our good.

 

So, delight yourself in God and watch your dearest desires, which will be His, come true.
