Yesterday I was attempting to pick berries.  The neighbor's kid popped out the door and asked, "Whatcha doin"?  My answer, "picking berries".

 

One of the things I love to do is pick berries in the woods.  My favorite is red raspberries.  Yum!!!  However, do to my schedule at camp, I just didn't have the time to go and pick until yesterday.  By the time I got there, they were just about gone.  (I yielded about 20 berries).  

 

What was I busy doing during the harvest time?  I was being with kids and teens.  I was offering friendship.  Most of all, I was sharing and being Jesus to kids who needed to know.

 

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed at missing out.  But I didn't miss out on the most important harvest.  Many of our campers have trusted Jesus as well as decided to follow Him.

 

While most guys my age spend their evenings watching the game, I'm playing games, getting pies in the face, and being Jesus to others.  I may have given up some berries, but the trade was worth it.

 

So back to the question asked by the neighbor kid.  Whatcha doin?  Whatcha doin to reach others for Jesus this week?  There are plenty of people who need to know.  Let's be Jesus to them!
