Quinoa    March 12, 2017

Ever have it?  I'm not quite sure what it is.  I think it's bird seed that's cooked.  It's pretty good.

 

I had a quinoa salad this evening.  Tasty.  As I read the ingredients on the menu though, it didn't mention that as part of the salad.  I was joking with the others I was with that, for a Quinoa Salad, it should have quinoa.  (It actually did).

 

Are you happy all the time?  Nope.  Me neither.  But if you know Christ you can have joy all the time, (not that I've perfected that skill), even when you are not happy.

 

Joy comes from knowing Christ and knowing He is in charge.  Even when our world is caving in, we can trust our Lord and that brings joy, even through the tears.

 

Just like the quinoa was hidden but it was in there, sometimes our joy is hidden within the sorrow.  But just like the quinoa was indeed there, we can have joy through trusting Christ, even when it seems no joy can be found.
