Have you heard Toby Mac's latest song?  "Feel It".  Pretty awesome.  I enjoy the music, the verses are potent, and the video is pretty chill too.  (Just watched it).  Just one thing...

Toby missed it.  No, I'm not downing Toby Mac.  My first paragraph praised him pretty good.  But my life verse, John 8:32 won't let this slide.  So what's the deal?

Like I said, the verses are packed with truth.  But the main line says that he knows God is true because he "feel's Him".

News flash.  If you haven't noticed already, YOU DON'T ALWAYS FEEL GOD.  There is an abundance of times we don't feel Him or even feel close to Him.  In fact, satan will lie to us through our feelings.  It's one of his biggest tools to injure God's children.

​

So how do we know God is true?  How do we know we've been forgiven?  How do we know He is in our soul?  By the authority of God's Word!  That's how we know!

When your feelings line up with the truth, slap some Toby on the mp3 and enjoy!  But when your feelings lie, then don't believe your feelings and emotions but believe in the truth of God's Word.

Anxious to listen to the rest of the album.  I might get it this week.  Always up for some Toby Mac.  And the song?  Enjoy, as long as you keep in mind that we do feel God at times but it's not how we know.  That's the Bible's job!
