Surfs Up - So Is His Love   Sunday, August 4, 2013

Just returned home from a trip to the beach.  Fun in the sun, boating, and lots of good times with friends.  Oh yeah, lots and lots of SAND!

Ever notice how much sand is on the beach, let alone how deep it goes down as well as the sand that is hidden by the ocean?  Dare ya to count the grains.

While on the beach, God brought this verse to my mind.  Psalm 139:17-18 says "How precious are Your thoughts to me, Oh God.  How great is the sum of them.

​

Before I hit verse 18, the Psalm is talking of how many thoughts God thinks ABOUT YOU!  And we know from Jeremiah 29:11 that those thoughts are good.  

​

So hold on to your surf boards for this one.   Verse 18 says, "If I were to number them, (God's thoughts about me), they would OUTNUMBER the sand!  

​

How awesome is that?  God loves you and thinks about you more than the grains of sand on the planet.  That's how much He loves you.

Our response to that should be an undying love to Him.  Spend some time knowing the truth of these verses.  Check out the attached picture and imagine how much sand is there.  Then enjoy that truth that He thinks about you more often than those grains of sand.

Oh, how He loves us.  If His grace were an ocean we'd be sinking!
