Those Guys Did The Right Thing   Sunday, May 12, 2013

Remember the story?  Some Jewish leaders brought a woman who was caught in the act of adultery.  The brought her to Jesus for several reasons.  They wanted to trap Jesus.  They wanted to see this woman die.  They wanted to be the ones to carry out both.  Was that the right thing?  Nope.

Jesus simply wrote in the dirt and said, "he who is without sin cast the first stone".  One by one the guys left.

So what was good about what these guys did?  Although it was rough on the woman, they brought her to Jesus which was the best thing that could ever happen to her.  She was forgiven!  That's how they did the right thing.

But then they did the wrong thing.  Jesus had enough forgiveness for them too, but they left.  How sad.
