Ever been around a magic show with the ole pick a card, any card? I was at a magic convention this past week. Picked up several new tricks and lots of ideas. It was really good. Hope to fool you with one sometime.

 

But while there, I met a few who seemed to be not "picking". One dealer table I "visited", (shall we say, dragged into), was showing off his wares, trying to make a sale. Within the sales pitch, it was brought up that I was a missionary using magic to share the Gospel. He immediately went to one of his Gospel tricks for sale. It's a popular one called "ABC Blocks".  ABC standing for "Always Believe in Christ".

 

As I was leaving, I said that I had one question for him. "Do YOU always believe in Christ"? I could tell he was nervous as he said, "why sure I do". Not trying to judge him since I don't know him personally at all, but he said it in a tone which seemed to say, "sure I do...doesn't everyone"?

 

Several others would talk about Gospel routines and then use the name of God as a swear word. How sad. Want to challenge you, in magician's language to "Pick a God, Any God". And even more so, choose the one and only TRUE God. Kind of a Joshua 24:15 deal. (look it up) :)

 

Well, gotta "vanish" for now. Choose to love Jesus this week...and for a lifetime!
