I wonder what thoughts were running through the mind of Jesus less than one week before He gave His life. I could contemplate and imagine lots of things I guess, but I think it's safe to say this. He was thinking the exact same thing that He thought right before He left Heaven to come to earth in the first place. He came to die.

 

To die for you and me. That was the plan all along. So, other than some emotions raging out of sight, His thoughts were the same. He remained focused on His purpose. I realize that we can never be as focused as Jesus was but...how focused are you on loving Him?

 

Do we forget Him so easily or do we, as the Bible tells us, "set our affections on things above"? His focus was to love YOU! What's your focus going to be on this week? Set your primary focus, the purpose of life itself, to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength!
