Preeminence A Big Word  Sunday, January 17, 2010

It's a pretty big word but even has a bigger meaning when you see where I dug it up. Colossians 1:18 tells us that Jesus Christ should have the preeminence in our lives. So, again, what's it mean? It means "first place". First place is easier to say but still just as important. In fact, one version says that Jesus needs to have supremacy!

So, here's the obvious question for this week. Is He first in your life? I'm not talking about just going through the motions or duties of a Christian. I'm talking about - or rather Jesus is talking about having Him as number one top priority in your life. Jesus didn't die so you could follow a bunch of rules or go through Christian motions. He died so you and He, (or is it He and you) could be best friends and in CONSTANT communication.

This week, focus on your friendship and walk with Him. Live your life with Him. And, as my youth group's motto says..."Just Love Jesus"
