Heard it again today. I've even said it before. And what's more...I've believed it. It's an easy trap to fall into. And it sounds so right. Try and live for God.

 

There, I said it. Yep, like I said, it sounds like what God wants us to do. But does He really? God's main desire for us is not to try and serve Him. Actually, NOTHING we can DO can appease Him. He is a holy, sinless God and we are just the opposite. And He knows it. So what does He want from us? He wants us, as Christians, to just be with Him and invite Him to be with us.

 

He wants a relationship, or a friendship with Him. That's His desire. To abide in Him and He in us.

 

Think about last week. Were your efforts spent in trying or being? This week, renew your mind, (or shall we say change your goals), and abide in Him. In other words, just love Him and spend moment by moment enjoying Him. You'll find a much richer relationship with your Creator if you do!
