I Stand Amazed  Sunday, January 11, 2009

I was watching tv this afternoon and saw an amazing guitarist playing a song. He was playing the guitar strings, extra strings on the guitar like a harp, and two sets of drums all on the single guitar. It was amazing. And the song he played was called... I Stand Amazed.

 

I sung this as a "youngin" at my church. I took the time to review the words to the song today too. It talks of just how amazing our Jesus is. That He would suffer and die for a sinner condemned unclean (you and me).

 

Why would He create us knowing that we would turn against Him? Why would He bother to give us His word? And why would He suffer the pain and anguish of the torture and then the cross just to pay for our sin against Him? I dunno. All I can say is that it is truly amazing.

 

Go throughout this week reminding yourself of this truth. The truth that Jesus loves you. The truth that He offers forgiveness for your sin. Let the joy that these thoughts bring to you be the strength you need to love and serve our awesome Lord! How marvelous, how wonderful, and my song shall ever be How marvelous, how wonderful, is my Saviour's love for me
