Wimpy or Hefty?  Sunday, September 28, 2008

Tomorrow is trash day. In just a bit, I'm going to gather up all my trash and put it in a garbage bag and take it out. I sure hope the bag is strong enough to hold it all or I'll have a big mess on my hands.

 

The Hefty brand used to advertise by comparing the "wimpy" bags to the "hefty" bags. Christians are like trash bags. They are either "wimpy" Christians or "hefty" ones.

 

The Bible tells us to be "hefty" in the Lord. In other words, be "rooted and grounded", or STRONG in our walk with Christ. There are so many weak trash bags on the market. There are also a lot of weak Christians running around and when bad times come, they go all to pieces and give up on God. "Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" Ephesians 6:10.

 

Don't wimp out on God this week. Be strong in and for Him!
