Nebbie The Nut   Tuesday, March 28, 2006

King Nebuchadnezzar was a nut!  Here's a guy that threw people in furnaces, and then wanted to watch the show.  His son was a bit on the nutty side as well.  And then, the following king, King Darius also qualified by throwing people to lions.  It must have been part of the job description for king of Babylon.

The main reason for their "nuttiness" was that they didn't trust God.  And that's nutty!  The Bible says it a bit stronger saying, "the fool has said in his heart, there is no God".  Now, I don't want to call anyone a fool, but that's what God said!

Real reason for this e-pistle is for Christians.  Sometimes we, as Christians, act and live like there is no God.  We believe Him and know Him as our Savior, but we don't love Him as proved by our actions.  That's just as foolish.

If you're a child of God and living your life to please yourself, may I simply ask that you reconsider?  God loves you.  Jesus suffered torture beyond compare to simply make you God's child.  Why turn and run from Him?  Why run from someone who loves you with an everlasting love?  (Jeremiah 31:3)

Running from God?  You're breaking the heart of Jesus.  If you must run, why not run back into His arms.  He's got them open and waiting for you to do just that.
