It All Started With Taxes  Sunday, December 17, 2006

As the saying goes, "only two things are for sure - death and taxes".  Guess it was true back in the day too.

Joseph had to go to Bethlehem to be taxed and register.  And I am assuming taxes were not something to be looked forward to.  Some things never change.  :)  But because of a bad thing, Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem, which fulfilled Old Testament prophecy, and Jesus was born.

Got some "bad stuff" in your life right now?  Maybe God is placing you in a spot for further service to Him, just as He did for Mary and Joseph.

As we go through this final countdown week until the special day, lets stay close to God so He can use us for His glory.  And if His plan hurts a bit, hang in there, cling to Him, and trust Him.  Jesus' folks did!
