It's Turkey Day!  Sunday, November 19, 2006

That's right.  Can't believe it's already here.  Thanksgiving Day is upon us.  And with Thanksgiving Day comes turkey, dressing, and all the rest.  But don't forget one important thing.  The whole purpose for the day.

Give Thanks!   The Bible says in Psalm 136:1 that we are to give thanks to the Lord.  Ya know why?  The rest of the verse answers that question..."for He is good for His mercy endures forever".

We are to give thanks to God because He is so good to show His mercy to us.  Not just for a long time but He shows His mercy forever.

So this Thursday, somewhere between the football, turkey and pumpkin pie, make sure you spend some time with Jesus thanking Him!
