Your Face Is The Joke Of The Day   Tuesday, August 24, 2004

If someone said that to you, would you be upset or angry? You would if you didn't know the truth about what it meant. Someone said that to me the other night and we both just laughed!

I've been at the Appalachian Fair this week in our booth painting faces, signing kids up for Bible lessons, and promoting camp. Up the hallway, they were giving out free cups of cold water. At one time in the evening, two teens started saying in unison, "would you like some water". They kept it up and it got to be really funny, so......

I had someone quickly paint that saying on my face. I then slowly walked by their booth as a joke. Everybody got a big kick out of it. Later, someone came to me and said, "your face is the joke of the night". 

​

Truth will set you free (John 8:32). You can see how that saying would upset someone if they didn't know the story and didn't know the truth. And not knowing the truth of God's word will mess up your life big time. If you believe Satan's lies, you're in for a grave disappointment. I encourage you, as John did, to know God's truth and let that truth set you free.
