Paid In Full   Sunday, May 16, 2004

I went out to dinner with some friends last week. There were about 14 of us all together. It was one of those places where everyone gets the same thing and everyone pays the same price. After dinner on the drive back, someone asked me, "did you pay for your dinner"? My obvious answer was yes. They then said, "so and so paid for yours"! I didn't know they paid for mine and I paid too. The restaurant got a big tip that night!

Many Christians are trying to do the same thing. They are under bondage trying to make up for all the sin they have committed. They think if they are good enough, God will love them a bit more. Thing is, the bill have been paid. That was why Jesus went to the cross. The price has already been paid.

 

Don't try to live your life to "repay" Jesus. That kind of attitude will only hinder your walk with the Lord because it's impossible. You can't repay Him. Instead, live a life of gratitude for what He has already done! You can say thank you with your life.
