Catching a Thermal   Sunday, March 02, 2003

I was watching two turkey buzzards yesterday. They would spread their wings and with no effort...go up! They didn't need to flap their wings much or exert much energy. They just caught the warm air, (thermal), and went along for the ride.

The Bible tells us that if we wait on the Lord, we will be like eagles and mount up on wings. I guess that's the same concept. Just letting God care for us and carry us through the tough times. I've heard several comments on this verse telling us that waiting on the Lord is like "waiting" on tables. You don't just sit around and wait, you actively serve the Lord and love Him. Let's catch a "spiritual thermal" of warm air from God and soar into a closer friendship with Him.
