Destination Freedom   Sunday, March 16, 2003

There were over 300 Chinese folk on board. It was a long, and very hard journey for everyone on the ship. As the old, beat up boat made it's way from China to America, things started getting worse. When the Coast Guard found them, their meat on board had spoiled, their vegetables were rancid, and the people were sick.

Immediate aid was given to these illegal immigrants, as the USA tried to nurse them back to some kind of good health. That was the good news. The bad news was that all aboard were shipped back to China. Although I know we need to watch our borders, especially now-a-days, it kind of broke my heart to see these folk sent back to a life that they desperately wanted free from.

What breaks my heart even more is when Christian teens are trapped in sin. They are looking for a way out and try and try and...all to be thrown back into the lifestyle that they desperately want freedom from.

Jesus offers freedom from sin. REALLY! The key is not in the trying and trying deal. The key is simply this: LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART! Gang, love is a choice. We can choose to love God. And when we do, we have a promise. We "will" keep his commands. Loving Him brings a lifestyle of living for Him.

Check your love for God right now. Is He the love of your life? That's how we obtain freedom in Him!
