What's Important To You? Monday, September 30, 2002
There I was. I was working night watch at 11:06 pm...and thoroughly
enjoying it! Actually last Friday evening, (or very close to Saturday
morning), I was sitting in the chapel at our video campfire and thinking,
"I wouldn't want to be any place else in the world right now". Why?
I was listening to 5th and 6th graders tell how they came to know Jesus as
Savior.
I thought of activities that other people might be doing at that moment.
Some were drinking at a bar. Some were out seeing a flick. Some were
shopping. Some were just chillin' at home watching the ole tube. But I
wouldn't have traded that moment for any of those things or anything
else.
You see, I was doing what God had called me to do. And hearing these
kids talk about how they loved Jesus was icing on the cake for me! It
was priceless.
What's important to you? Are you enjoying a friendship with Jesus or
just existing day by day? Think about it and don't settle for anything
less than an intimate friendship with your Creator!
Take some time this week and think about what is important to you
and.....
May Jesus be as important to you
as you are to Him!
