Lay It Aside

I just had a meat stick.  Love those things.  Individually wrapped, I can grab one out of the cupboard and eat it when I choose.  After unwrapping and enjoying the morsel, I throw the wrapper away.

 

It would be silly to keep the wrapper.  If I kept all of them, I would have a pretty cluttered house.  I lay it aside for the better inside goodness.

 

The Bible tells us to "lay aside" the weight and sin which deter our walk with Christ.  The weight isn't sin but rather unnecessary "stuff" that "clutter" our relationship with Jesus,  He says lay it aside for the better walk with Him,

 

Don't clutter up your life with unnecessary stuff.  Lay it aside and follow hard after Jesus!
